Fall Quarterly VICFA meeting at Goshen Homestead

Sunday, Sept 17, 2023, 12pm

Goshen Homestead →
3261 Hayters Gap Rd. Elk Garden, VA 24260

Join us Sunday, Sept 17, 2023, at 12 pm at Goshen Homestead for our Fall Quarterly meeting. Come learn the history of the only grassroots for-and-by-the-people organization in Virginia that works through citizen volunteers to preserve our food choices. The 2024 Virginia Assembly, future legislation and more will be discussed, we look forward to seeing you all!

Our meetings are open to everyone, members and friends are always welcome. Please bring a dish and your ideas as we share in a potluck lunch at 12:00 pm, followed by our general business meeting from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

For religious observances, the McIntyre family requests that no pork products be brought to the potluck. Thank You!

The McIntyre homestead is a family-run farm having both a Grade A inspected dairy and a raw milk herd-share operation. In addition, the family also raises grass-fed and grass-finished meats and pastured poultry. Early on the importance of biblical sustainability was an important goal for this family, and their good stewardship shows with the growth of their farm.

The McIntyre’s have graciously opened up their homestead to our members to share what they do on the farm. This farm is located in beautiful Elk Garden, nestled in the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia.

This special destination is worth the trip, come for a tour and see what’s up at the homestead!

Coming from far away? There are hotels in the nearby town of Lebanon.
